What to expect, start to finish
Site Walk On The Lot
We meet you at the property during weekday hours, Monday through Friday 8am to 6pm, or Saturday 9am to 2pm. From our shop at 820 Jupiter Rd we cover East Plano, West Plano, Downtown Plano, Willow Bend, and the tighter lots around Legacy West and Legacy Town Center. On the walk we look at lean, deadwood, targets under the canopy, fence lines, and how Collin County’s sticky clay has heaved the slab, sidewalk, or driveway. A quote covers the drop plan, not a guess from the curb.
Access And Drop Plan
Before a saw comes out we mark where the tree can fall and where it cannot. Older East Plano yards often have mature pecans and post oaks over roofs and power drops. Newer West Plano and Legacy West lots leave little room between the house, the alley, and parked cars. We plan rigging points, chipper placement, and a haul path that keeps mud off the street when a spring storm has left the black clay slick. You hear the plan before we cut.
Removal With Controlled Cuts
We take the tree down in sections when a full fall would hit a roof, a neighbor’s fence, or a car in a Willow Bend cul-de-sac. Limbs are roped, the trunk is bucked, and brush is chipped as we go so the yard does not turn into a pile you cannot walk through. Summer heat means we stage water and keep cuts moving; after a severe storm we work the hung-up and split trees first so they do not drop on their own.
Haul-Off And Ground Left Clean
Wood, brush, and chips leave the property unless you want a stack of firewood or mulch left in a spot you choose. We rake the work zone, blow hard surfaces, and note any ruts the clay will show once it dries. Stump grinding is quoted separately so you know whether the stump stays flush for now or comes out so you can replant or pour.
Trimming On The Trees That Stay
If the job is thinning or clearance rather than a full removal, we prune for structure and for clearance over the roof, the drive, and the sidewalk. That matters on older Downtown Plano streets and along corridors near the Plano Convention Center and Oak Point Park, where mature canopies meet wind. We do not top trees. You walk the finished cuts with us before we leave.
